Roasted bentonite powder is primarily composed of minerals found in the smectite group, such as montmorillonite, which is naturally rich in silica (SiO2), aluminum oxide (Al2O3), magnesium oxide (MgO), and iron oxide (Fe2O3). Roasting removes excess moisture, enhancing its liquid-holding capacity and providing dust-free granules with improved absorption and chemical stability, making it a stable carrier for various agricultural and industrial formulations.  Key Compositional ElementsThe primary minerals in roasted bentonite are the same as in natural bentonite, but the heat treatment modifies its properties: 

• Silica (SiO2): A major component, typically found in high percentages. 
• Aluminum Oxide (Al2O3): Another key constituent, especially in selected high-quality bentonite. 
• Magnesium Oxide (MgO): Present as a significant component. 
• Iron Oxide (Fe2O3): Found in substantial amounts, sometimes contributing to its black color.
